Demystifying science and making it accessible

Greetings! This is my first post on this board and serves to tell you a little about what I have started in Branford, CT. Like all of you, I am passionate about science and it concerns me that there are many people who are in mortal fear of it! I know that some of them are probably in this state because they might have felt overwhelmed by the subject. I also know that given a chance, many of these people can become excited by science. With all this in mind, I started a science cafe in Branford, last December. You can visit the spartan website that I have made for the cafe at http://sites.google.com/site/tildecafe/. The audience is diverse in age and educational background so it makes for some really interesting discussions. I have posted video snippets of each cafe that we have had so far - this will give you an idea of the project.
